Okay, here I go...my very first blog, though I never thought I would do this. Reading Jaena's blog is what got me going, so I guess in a way I can blame her, right?
Recently I was offered a very slim chance at a job for after graduation. There's not a huge chance I will get the job, considering I have a year before I graduate, but it did get me thinking. The job is being the children's pastor in a Presbyterian church. Now, being raised in holiness based churches I decided that maybe I should do some research to figure out how the belief systems vary. In reading about the presbyterian beliefs however, I discovered that I'm not 100% sure what it means to believe "holiness". Now I'm working to discover what and why I believe what I do.
It should be an interesting process...

I'm not completely sure of the theological nuances in denominational belief systems, but I do think Presbyterians are pretty evangelical. Jim would be a good one to ask about details and differences.

Yeah, I'm planning to meet Jim for coffee sometime to go over things. (I could get him off topic at work, but I'm not really paid to discuss these things the whole time...though I do love our discussions)
