My muse

Here's a more interesting entry...or at least one with a little more color.

I discovered this weekend that I've been neglecting my muse. (A muse is a being of inspiration...to me that would be God, but I guess that in a sense it also means passion) For the past few weekends and weeks, I suppose, I've been very focused on homework, homework, homework. I guess, with all of that studying being done, the artist in me felt somewhat attention deprived.

Well, this past weekend the artist took over and I finished one drawing, did a painting, and did another drawing as well. This week I'm also working on drawing another portrait.

Beliefs...

Okay, here I go...my very first blog, though I never thought I would do this. Reading Jaena's blog is what got me going, so I guess in a way I can blame her, right?

Recently I was offered a very slim chance at a job for after graduation. There's not a huge chance I will get the job, considering I have a year before I graduate, but it did get me thinking. The job is being the children's pastor in a Presbyterian church. Now, being raised in holiness based churches I decided that maybe I should do some research to figure out how the belief systems vary. In reading about the presbyterian beliefs however, I discovered that I'm not 100% sure what it means to believe "holiness". Now I'm working to discover what and why I believe what I do.

It should be an interesting process...
